My Sore Tooth

Contributed by tin on Sunday, 11th July 2004 @ 11:15:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

As I lie in this chair
I hear drills and suction
Yet my only thought
Is of your seduction

If there ever was a contest
Aphrodite dare not compete
With your godlike beauty
And your heart so sweet

Your lustrous lips
Your jade green eyes
I now pray to the gods
That you'll soon be mine

But if sooner turns to later
And my bones grow weak
Your love and affection
Will be all I seek

So I hope to myself
That your eyes fill with joyous tears
As I deliver these words
To your delicate ears

This is pretty good! If slightly strange at the thought of finding inspiration in a dentist's chair...
Nice work.

Welcome to YPDC, tin!

I agree... interesting... and - um - a bit different in title and first stanza. But, I suppose, the mind doesn't always wait for a romantic setting to wonder off to romantic thoughts.

Very sweet. Thanks for sharing this!
