breaking and folding
succumb to their molding
at least they’ll leave
your golden case
a shell to hide
true thoughts inside
unlike me
don’t go to waste
keep your tears
to cry at night
never give up
but keep your voice low
remember lost kindness
forbidden disgrace
the haunting truth
they’ll never know
remember forgiveness
so you won’t become
the one’s that haunt
your deepest fears
and in the end
I promise you this
you can break free
their hold
they won’t guess
that perfection they pressed
it never took hold
you survived the mold
