Exchanging Of Hearts

Contributed by lovingangel4u on Friday, 25th October 2002 @ 07:15:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I’ve always left a piece of my heart untouched
Just in case, the other bits get crushed.
So I can be brave to go on another day
My heart was broken but it would be ok.

But I gave you all my heart today.
Totally in everyway
I trust you to hold it as your own.
Because your love for me is so strong.

You told me you will hold it dear
And never break it, have no fear.
You will love it and hold it so close
And treat it o so right
Make it happy with all your might.

You gave me all your heart today.
Completely in everyway.
You can trust me to hold it as my own.
Because my love for you is so strong.

I will hold it dear
And never break it, have no fear.
I will love it and hold it so close
And treat it o so right
Make it happy with all my might.

These words we can only say
Because we know if our hearts
Get broken or decay
We will both feel the pain we have caused
For now your heart lives with me
And mine with yours.
