When i was little i used to pray
That god would take my life one day
God please take my soul today
Make me silent, for this i pray
¤
Show me heaven, and serenity
Say yes god, do this for me
Search my soul and search my heart
There's no where in life left for me to start
¤
I'll do what you say, I'll ask many things
I'll watch over people, i'll even sing
I'll do what it takes if you take my life
Nothing is left for me here, i know this is right
¤
I dont want to live to be judged in the end
Please take me now, this message i send
I want to go now, earth is what i call hell
Please take me god,i'm ready can't you tell?
¤
I want to fly, i want to have wings
Am i even close to deserving these things?
Let me know god soon before i take my life
Let me know if i've done anything right
¤
If i can't go to heaven with you
Then i'll be brave, and face the devil for you
If i should wake and hear your voice
I'll take your hand, Please give me a choice
¤
When i was little i used to pray

I'm getting older and i'm still here
Please answer my prayer, with my last tear

hey ....i just want to say that i really liked this ...and i do sometime pray for the end to come soon...but i know God has a plan for me here on earth so i must enjoy evey minute that i have here and help every body that i can so life will be a pleasurable experiance>>>>>> thanks for sharing

| well shoot. i hate it when people get so caught up in the message that they lose the poem, but i find myself in that state right now. i want to tell you life is the only precious thing on earth, that to waste one second is sinful, that to wish it away is worse. sigh, i don't even remember the poem. had a good friend die two days ago, perhaps my poetic perspective will return and i will revisit this one. jim |

This is an amazing poem, it shows so much of what many kids think about today. The depth into is is so unreal. I really enjoyed this and it is inspirational to me to live on and trust God has a purpose for me.
P.S. Thank you so much for the wonderful replies to my writing, it is wonderful to have someone who reads and responds to everything. |
