THE LORD IS HIS NAME
Wind a cataract swarthy light amongst the trees,
Birds like bayonets plunge down into the sea.
I stand clammy from the deluge that tore,
Disorientated, but hankering for what was in store.
Bristles perceive radar on my chin,
Smells secretions immerse into my skin.
Senses told, eyes vibrant rolled,
Even whiting in the sea surfaced and shoaled.
Then a beacon from way up high,
Mouth agape drooling I turn to the sky.
I had no time to turn at beauty’s glance,
My mind was awash with heavenly dance.
Everywhere sounds muffled, sounds creaked,
Excited animals scuffled and squeaked.
As I listened I heard the Lord say,
‘A Messiah has come amongst us today.
Peace, cascades of adulation came tumbling over my breast.
Kissing the moonlight, tasting the moonlight,
I bolted away like a detonation to the West.
