Brother, can't you see
when you break my body
you set my spirit free?
And tho' the scourge
may cut my flesh,
My eternal soul
shall ever be...
And tho' I adorn
your rough-hewn cross,
And I gasp at the bite
of your lance;
I sense my Father
calling me,
Bidding my Spirit to
sit at His side,
and there,
forevermore to abide

I think this conveys a lot of emotion; this shows that you must be a very spiritual person and I commend you for that; Very well written, you should be proud |

As a Christian myself, this touched me deeply. I think it is very spiritually fulfilling writing a poem from the Son, Father, or Holy Spirit's perspective, or then again any biblical person as well. I found this one to be truely inspiring, and have copied and pasted it to a folder that I have exclusively for spiritual poetry. I hope you do not mind. Thanks for your work, keep it up. This was simply wonderful! |
