Form now on

Contributed by Archie on Sunday, 11th July 2004 @ 07:59:46 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I don't know how all these trials shall turn out
they're coming too fast
Spending too much time thinking about them
will only make me sad

(First bridge and chorus)
The sunlight still shines down upon me
The stars still light my path
Hope renews my strength with in me
a time of joy at hand
From now on
I know I'll overcome

Friendships and true love still cheers me
on the path toward home
I do not have a lot that I can give them
save love and hope

(Second bridge and chorus)
But they love me through the darkness of my times
and I believe them when they say I will be fine
from now on
I know I'll overcome

(Third bridge and chorus)
Though the times I'm going through do make me sad
I am grateful that I know they shall not last
From now on
(From now on, now on) (Pause)
I know I can be strong
(First bridge and chorus to end)

Archie, love and hope are the best gifts you can give someone. This song will be a beautiful gift too. What better message to pass forward.

Hugs my friend,
Rita

Honesty abound in this one, Archie. Perhaps you could change 'cajoles' in the 2nd verse? It seems a little weak a term, compared to the rest of the verse for me, but that's my perspective.

Overall, I really like this one. It is a powerful expression. Well done.

Keep sharing.

Great piece...

As I wrote in my last poem, "the warrior yearns to war no more/ But only when the fight is won".

Keep your courage up, my friend. It is hard, but after all, it's not our own strength that's relied on.

Andrew
