When the night bears down
and each hour feels like a day,
feel the arms that are gone embrace you
in that old familiar way.
When you need a loving shoulder
to keep the pain at bay,
feel the arms that are gone embrace you
and lift you up come what may.
Feel the arms that were there
at the onset of sadness,
feel the heart that gave you
a feeling of gladness.
They are still clasped around you
to give you their love,
they will always be with you
a gift from above.
Blessed are they who keep love in their hearts!
