Veracity Of Truth

Contributed by Thivanka on Sunday, 11th July 2004 @ 12:55:07 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Veracity of faith

Maker of the human stature must have known
All afflictions that would consequently be thrown,
Up before the eyes, mouth, nose and ears,
And the intricate mind with all its fears.
Yet now we are born, and all fear the appellation of ‘death’,
Did the maker not see that the brittle breath
Of humans, animals, would simultaneously expire,
Or, was the sculptor overwhelmed by his/her empire?

Defiantly one reclines where we do not know,
Yet the malleable mortals have bothered to show
Their assiduous piety towards he/she,
In hope of setting their ‘sinful souls’ free.

Worry not, one day all will die,
No matter how hard you try,
Nature will tyrannically ensue its daily course,
Disregarding the much effeminate force.

-Thivanka

ok, honestly...i like this poem, not saying I believe God is fraud...just that you write well, and it does flow wonderful. It holds truth about us all fearing death. we come to terms with it eventually, but we still fear. thank you very much.

While your poem is good I can not really endorse it's meaning.

"I give you every fruit bearing tree it will be your food... I give you the earth take hold of it and subdue it"

And the earth is subdued by man by his good and by his bad actions just as it should be. to see God's plan you must see that it is beyond his nature to not let us choose the way we want to live. I know this doesn't help much but it is the truth.

Sry mate! I'm afraid I can't agree with u on this 1! I believe that God is real and very much alive, we die only 'coz of our own sins, God gave us [Humans, I think...] free will, and we exploited it, so we have to face the results of our actions! That's y ppl die, not 'coz God doesn't exist. Jesus was the only human [He himself was God in the form of man] who could defeat the power of death, that's y all christians await his 2nd coming. But I must say, u've really got a knack- gee wut am I saying?? U've got a MaRvElLoUs talent in writing awesome poetry! C ya l8er! bibi, Mihiri
