As light as the summer breeze your breath against my cheek makes me tingle,
As black as endless night my time without you seems enternal,
As bright as the morning sunshine in my window your voice brings me to happy tears,
As harsh as my reality the empty sheets beside me make me cold,
As soft as goosedown feathers against my skin your fingers make me blush,
As piercing as a needle is the ache I feel for you,
As sweet as ripe strawberries on my lips your kisses make me shiver,
As warm and safe as spring time sun now that you are home.
