Make of life what you can

Contributed by shadowed on Thursday, 24th October 2002 @ 05:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

The good times gone
but not forgotten
A path worn bare
so fully trodden
As time ticks on
we remember
Dreams of our past
brought through slumber
The memories we make
all held dear
The thought of lose
spues forth great fear
Our lives we live
at just an instant
The game of life
we're mere contestants
Playing for keeps
a prize so great
Causing your palate
to salivate
For the champions
those who succeed
Victory comes to them
based on need
To those who lose,
are over taken
Only to remain
forever shaken
To the victor
go the spoil
And to the loser
eternal toil

"our lives we live in just an instant.." I love this line, because it is sooo true! and the line "The game of life we're mere contestants.." because that line is sooo true too. Great job!!!
