Heart Prints

Contributed by pixie on Saturday, 10th July 2004 @ 12:53:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

On my soul I have heart prints,
When I see you my eyes hold a glint,
Your love fills my very insides,
Tis as strong as the roughest tides.

You reach my heart & set it alight,
Comfort me through the winter nights,
Strike up a band inside my tummy,
Make my head feel dizzy & funny.

When we’re apart I miss you so,
I can hear you when the wind blows,
Can see your face when I close my eyes,
Thoughts of you leave me on a high.

These heart prints will never fade,
Your love is imbedded, like a blade,
It flows through my body,
Loving you is my favourite hobby.

I melt when I am in your arms,
You’re my special, little lucky charm,
Forever your name is tattooed on my soul,
With you I want to grow grey & old.

My heart wears a sign saying reserved,
For you, a man who truly deserves,
All the love to be thrown his way,
Someone to share life, day after day.

Together we live & don’t just exist,
We are making up for all we missed,
Facing the world together, as one,
Babes our future has finally begun.

Oh Pixie my dear friend...........this poem is so loving and touching......I hated to see it end!
I especially liked the part where you said you wanted to grow old with him!
He must be a very special person for you to live with him all those many many years!
This poem was exception Pixie......I really enjoyed reading it!
Poetic hugs and love
