I felt like crying before,
When we said goodbye at my door,
But I didn’t want you to see,
My tears were threatening to flow free.
You’ve been gone for less than an hour,
But already I want to cower,
I want to call you on the phone,
Ask you please to come back home.
My heart needs a big cuddle,
I need help to get over my struggle,
I know I have to do this by myself,
Pull myself back up on the shelf.
Time is really dragging on,
Watching the clock is no fun,
It makes me feel alone & small,
My heart is lonely please hear it call.
Mark I have to be strong for you,
As you have for me & helped me through,
To expect you to always be there,
Is selfish of me & also unfair.
You just need some time away,
But with me your love stays,
I know your love is mine for keeps,
Even though my eyes do weep.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can only hope you remain strong as you sort out what it is you need to do. This is a very powerful expression of emotions! If you need to email me, you know my address. :-)
