I scribe all day
Seeking one true note
To seed and plant a lasting quote
These words to paint you pleasantly
So I can close my eyes
Scribbling away
Strumming out of tune
A word so dry it doesn’t bloom
Palette-- no beauty left to paint you
So I cannot close my eyes
You stroll in
A flood of words begin
I sculpt your figure flawlessly
I scrawl for you; believe in me
Your kiss is all I need

This beauty deserved posting. I think you are a bit too critical of your work. We aren't usually the best ones to judge our work as artists are a bit tempermental. This is a lovely piece. Thank you for sharing it.
