Not that long ago I felt love.
Not that long ago I felt safe.
Then like a nightmare from hell,
My heart was shattered but noone can tell.
They all see a smile on my face,
but i lost a love i can't replace,
The saftey and love you showed me is now gone, like a grain of sand
Now in a garden of stone alone i stand.
I stand alone wanting and needing,
Deep down my heart is bleeding,
I look around and all I see,
All the loves that used to be,
A married couple that died together,
another love where time ran short.
The grave of the child that never had a chance.
The broken woman needing just one dance.
Each stone marks a life lost.
Each heart that paid the cost.
Lifes that were left shattered,
Hearts alone, and battered.
I walk away from you,
My tears burn my cheeks
To my broken heart, your ghost speaks
telling me not to be blue.
cuz your love is still true.

I can relate to this emotional pain. I lived loved and lost. Keep writing it out.For some reason it feels like great therapy! :-)

I hardly even know what to say. I understand your need to write completely and absolutely feel the pain that runs through this piece. It is a powerfully emotional write. Alone in "a garden of stone"... is so... tragic. My heart goes out to you. I know there is nothing I can say to ease the pain, but I am so very sorry for your loss.
