You stood right in front of me
And complained how much you cared
But I couldn’t prove myself to you
Always ignored the passion we shared
I gave you my shoulder to cry on
And helped you through your pain
My heart needed to be healed
You laughed, thinking I was insane
She never meant anything to me
I can never hurt you like that again
It was a horrible mistake that I had learned
Please forgive me and let me explain
My heart cried with your tears
Our love was too much to lose
I couldn’t stop loving you
But by then I was too confused
Late in November you gave me that stare
You didn’t speak what I wanted you to feel
You told me you wanted her
It can never be, it was never real
