One foot slowly forward
The other foot close behind
You and me, arms linked together
Step by step our hearts combined
We thought our chance had come and gone
No longer could be we be best friends
But slowly we began to learn
It's a thankless game, predicting end
Our friendship is a little something different
We're stronger, deeper, so much more
And although we haven't always be secure
We'll be there always, of that I'm sure
Our downs have only just been many
Just now our ups have become few
But still we'll be friends forever
It'll take much more to break me and you
