I sit, woken, never dreaming
Vastly tired, but cannot rest
Wait for peace that will not come.
Now lying in the chilling darkness
It’s taunting, jeering, at my plight
I toss and turn without avail
Is it any use to try?
Checking the rude clock with sleepless eyes
I grow wearier as time crawls
Silence is now loudly laughing
As I lie here, I start to wonder,
Are dreams better than what is real?
Will sleep still this endless night?

dude this is great! I know this all to well...been goin through it for a long time...especialy last night! i just kept tossing and turning, and thinking!

It's 2:45 a.m. you must of writen this poem for a lot of us. I'm supposed to be writing a poem for a mother whose daughter is getting married. Here I sit reading poetry...lol Great poem by the way.
