Etalia's prose

Contributed by Black13 on Thursday, 8th July 2004 @ 09:24:55 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

LIfe...
Illusion of protrusion measured by futility
With didactic words to cover up pain
Never wanting others to know it's fertility
But keeping yourself blockaded in vain

Pain...
Sucking life from a dead childs soul
You beat him until he is no more
And if despair mayhap he'll howl
So you can bury him inside a whore.

Death...
And release shall come home to rest
Suffocating babes with umbilical chords
But will you see a picture best
Or will things fall like unheard words

Illusion...
Know that I have never breathed
Know that I can't let myself leave
Swords once drawn can't be sheathed
Death shows curtains pushed to heave

Love...
Dismembered souls bleed so free
Gunslingers deal only in lead
And still you will never truly see
Find me here and planted seed

Etalia...
She is death of every birthed thing
Goddess demon born in me
Cut lives in burning string
Please come see her be...

Ominous! I think I'll keep a sword nearby as I wait for more.
I like the fluent style, especially the first stanza.

interesting poem (or perhaps it should be referred to as 'prose'?) in any case this was very good and quite haunting if I may say so. Loved it all and the eloquence that u put in here.

Wow... I'm not even sure what to say about this. I will say that the first stanza is awesome just coz I relate to it so well. I'm not sure I get the rest of it as well as I get that part, but the images are certainly.... interesting. lol. Can't wait to see the rest. :)

Something between a gasp and a sigh tumbled out when I finished reading this one. The imagery here could be disturbing if it weren't so incredibly perfect in context. "Goddess demon" - Gah! I seriously hope no ex of mine would describe me that way!

Impactful and extraodinarily descriptive. Great write!

I feel this is definitely the beginning of something. Much more so than then end. I tried to look up Etalia, but couldn't find anything to tell me who she is. This is full of life and death at once. Sad, moving, dark, riveting, and yet somehow looking forward. A very interesting start.
