Ode to Chocolate

Contributed by theraven on Thursday, 8th July 2004 @ 08:52:54 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

So sweet, delirious, as
I run through the sand
To meet that which melts
In my mouth, and not my hand.
Chewy caramel, crisp wafers,
Sweet nougat, and milky taste,
Eat it up, eat it all
Don’t let it go to waste.
Such is an enemy,
But so tempting a friend,
And falsely true, like so,
Will bring me to an end.
Calories, sugars, and
Total fat off the charts,
Straight to the hips, breaks
Out on the face, and kills my heart.

-The Raven-

So what you are telling me is that chocolate is NOT one of the major food groups and I don't have to include it in my daily diet? (please don't tell anyone I know that). This is a delighfully delicious write.

Smiles
Rita
