Fairy Tale Hero

Topic: hbadday

Fairy tales are doomed to tragedy.
Expectations can only lead to regret.
My crushed fairy tales weren’t what I expected
I never realized dreams could hurt so much.
How could I have forgotten he’s no knight in shining armor?
I must’ve overlooked his tendency to overlook me.
Turn around, and he’s not there,
Not when you need him most.
Leave too long, and it’ll all be gone.
All the things you shared with him
Erased and thrown away.
My pain, my anger,
Remain unmentioned, but my restraints weaken more and more.
I’m afraid to stop now.
If this is how it is when I give in,
How much more invisible will I be when I say no?
I am such an embarrassment
With all my silly expectations.
I can’t understand how a person can hide so much.
Face it, it’s over, he’s finished having his way with you.
He’s gotten bored, but he’ll be back
When he’s bored with someone else.
Wasted hopes of a valiant knight,
Were nothing more than an invisible dream.
I can only remember it once in awhile,
Only because it hurts too much to cry.

Your not invisible. Im sorry that you are going through this. You will find someone else just stay strong and true to yourself. You are better than he is. Good poem.
