I went to see the Octopus's Garden
the creatures played a song for me
I looked out a window thousands of feet up
and watched majestic carousel horses
the great halls of yesteryears
played games with my mind
the music of the past
plucked my soul like a chord
crystal waters, sparked facets
what timbre, what a symphony
fortunes unfolded on cobblestone streets
what mysteries lie in the depths
of the blackest midnights?
