Schizo-pet

Contributed by Ina on Thursday, 8th July 2004 @ 11:06:05 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I have a hallucinogenic schizophrenic
highly enjoyable little creature
who says things like

“good fairies make goats fly underwater”

who brings home flyers
from Christian AA meetings
wrapped around a dice of cheese

who paints Hitler
completely hidden
behind Egyptian pyramids
holding a bent fork

who listen to AM radio static
and take notes
on my gas bills

who sharpens candles
in pencil sharpeners
and refuses to believe
permanent markers
are indeed permanent

who gives me little presents
wrapped in tin foil
that smell like old chicken meat

and when we walk
down concrete beaches
he takes little steps

and sings:

angel steps

angel steps

pure steps

pure steps

I am making

sane steps!

See?

Maybe I'm crazy but this one got me laughing.
I think it was the ending that got me to that point.

Glad you laughed...it was suppose to be dark humor.
