The Solitude (Prt.1)

Contributed by Mortis-Dark on Thursday, 8th July 2004 @ 01:25:32 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The cup is filled with grief and sorrow.
So another will have to borrow.
A plate of salt from a mytr's soul.
To death wins the spoils.

Salvage the wreck.
Only for it to burn.
In its hand you hold the matches.
Gasoline stains you permantly.

In flames go your fears,
You sob over your wasted years.
Only to drown what sorrows left behind.
With a solid fountain of tears.

Your body yerns,
The soul of one burns.
In a deep dark utterly eerie hell.
You scream for escape.
But you cannont escape what you create.

Only to lye in a wreck of solitude.
No payment enclosed for none will do.
Nothing or no one shall escaoe this innner solitude.
For it is permant as time.

No cheese nor wine.
You get no spoils.
Nor fork nor spoon.
Only wasted days and lonely afternoons.

enjoyed this- was slowed down by some simple spelling issues- that would really smooth out a good write.

Nice job

Whoa! This is a very depressing poem series I hope part 3 is atleast hopeful of that you do a series on joy afterwards. I know it must be hard when loneliness crowds your mind with it's vexxing trepidations.
