O Siren of hope
Let me taste your lure
May your poison pleasure my wits
Bleed me dry this time
O horrid Temptress
Hide not behind my love’s eyes
Or never shall I see again
Have mercy for the weary
O Vampire of mirth
Free me of immortal longing
I sleep no more, love no more
Death, now, my only companion
O sweet Death
Sing of love’s final verse
Bury her wicked plague among thieves
Embrace me now, in my forsaken fate

I like the way this was written, the way you pinpointed all these aspects of your lover(s) and described the devastating effect each has on you. Some original concepts associated with each stanza too. |
