Too soon to see
The chimes of wedding bells ringing
The pleasure of hearts and faces smiling
Too soon to feel
Pride well up in your heart
As another marriage yet to start
Too soon to hold
The hands of an expectant mother
As the bundle of joy you gather
Too soon to hear
The patter of little boys feet
And the chatter as little girls seat
You took a journey
As we all stood by
And you left us all
A little too soon.
