I just want to run

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I just want to run
Far, far away
Away from my bad memories
Away from the hurt
Away from my past
To just make it all go away

I just want to run
Start over again
Begin a new life
A life without heartache and pain

I just want to run
Why cant I escape?
Why do my memories of you haunt me?
Why wont they go away?

I just want to run
Back to someones arms
Someone who loves me unconditionally
Someone who accepts me, flaws and all
Someone who wont bring me anymore pain

I just want to run
Run to a far off place
A place where no one knows me
So I can start over
Start a new life

I just want to run
But my feet seem to be stuck here
My memories have tangled me in a mess
In order to move on, I need to untangle them

But until my mess is sorted out,
I just want to run!
