Today tomorrow seems so far away.
This dream that holds me wont let me awake.
Im biting my lip for it all to be fake.
Nothing seems real anymore in the absence of your leave.
The colors fade.
The seasons changed.
Yet your not here in my arms.
I held you tight once.
Maybe I should have held on a bit longer that one time.
I cant seem to see.
My vision has faded.
Im left here jaded in my own room.
I try not to move.
The silence cannot be broken.
Your makeup staind my clothes.
The smell still looms in my room.
I wish you were here.
Im a lost soul looking for you.
But I will never find you.
I lost you to the sea.
My boat wont come in.
Your terrible stormed capsized it in the tide.
I wanted you to be my bride.
Somethings will never change.
The lights have blown.
The house has fallen to pieces as so have I.
I awake each morning noticing that empty pillow.
It boils my insides.
To know that im the reason that your gone.
Some day someway things will change.
I have learned lessons and put them to use.
But this is harsh abuse.
The essence of you still lingers here.
Its the only thing that keep me here.
Im jaded and faded.
The ceiling has fallen.
The door knobs rusty and tattered.
But still I stay.
For one day you will paddle in.
I shall keep you forever.

'in the absence of your leave' - good line... Hope they do 'paddle in', or someone even better! Best of luck... |
