Goodbye My Love

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Tuesday, 6th July 2004 @ 07:56:50 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I've held you in my hands, with your blood I've penned my tears
We've always been inseperable, together for more than 20 years
Everywhere I've travelled, through happiness and strife
You were always there my love,in every chapter of my life

We've shared cold lonely nights,by the window watching storms
Right there in the wings, your presence safe and warm
On beautiful summer days,we would walk up to the pond
As I held you I would dream, and you would write the song

Never have you failed me,you've never argued with my ways
Moreso you've been my saviour, through each and every day
But it seems that I am ailing, the time has come for me to die
And so to you my lover,my pen,I must sadly say goodbye

This is sooooo sad. When our loved ones pass on it's one hardship, but to say good-bye while we're still alive. Heartwrenching to say the least. May the loving whispers of the wind guide that beautiful spirit always!
Angel always...joni

Don't stop writing Sharon, for truly you have a remarkable gift ... dont' say goodbye ... I've often felt this way myself in the last few months, but in the end I believe, our pen is our best friend to help us through ... Jan

This was so sad, it touched me so.
The pen is also my source of comfort during my trying days and a channel of my emotion when I dwell in happiness.

You have far too much to say yet my friend, to be saying goodbye to your pen. You write with a newness each time even if you don't see it. I certainly do and so does everyone else. You are a heart with a pen attached rememeber?

Beautifully written
Roses
Larry

The time for writing ebbs and flows
throughout our lives, it comes and goes
I know the muse will return and then
you'll want to pick up your pen again

This is so sad..I think there is no death fo a poet's pen so long as the poet's heart beats.
A great write. venkat
