Sonnet #4
In the mist I see things I thought were gone.
As I’m moving near they just fade away.
All seems to be lost, though I carry on.
All I want is you back with me someday.
Have you seen my tears wash away the rain?
Have you heard my cries carried by the breeze?
All I’ve known of me, lost within the pain.
Knowing that you’re gone brings me to my knees.
Now I search for you, though I know not where.
Is the end like this, silent and alone?
Or is there still hope, a chance you still care?
Though my past is dark, so much to atone.
I will travel on, trying to withstand.
All I’ve ever lost, slipping from my hand.

Your poem is lovely. I remember feeling like that in my life. I hope all is better for you.
