Dark thoughts

How these thoughts torture me
how I long to bleed
all I want is the blade that you deny me
to end in tradgedy
to lose myself in the pain
all these things you keep from me
not knowing that the longing hurts me
Oh, how I want to let my emotions flow
out with my blood in thick steady streams
how I want to leave this world
to believe it all to be just a dream
I look to the mirror, my image shatters
as my longing takes over
down the blood flows, in scarlet rivers
as this hurt flows away

great write, but i have found myself that no matter how often you bleed, the pain never flows away with it.

i myself find that bleeding isnt a permanent solution to anything. you become addicted to it and then who owns it? the blade owns you. you cannot heal emotional pain with physical pain. if thinking tortures you so much, think of something else or not at all. btw, excellent write. |

You did a very good job in the way you wrote this poem. It's exactly how I feel, but then again it never did anything for me, all it did was leave scars. Scars that still bring questions that need to be asked of me. |
