My love gave me a rose today,
she gave it to me as I lay
with thoughts of loved ones far away,
a statement of love.
My heart told me a tale today,
of someone who is part of me
Inside me it will always stay,
a statement of love.
My soul said I should always be,
true to myself, and those I love
thats easy, cos I am just me,
a statement of truth.
My angel led me to my love,
the road I took was meant to be
my life is guided from above,
a statement of me...
