Let it soar & take flight,
It is such a pretty sight,
Colourful, outstretched wings,
Observe the beauty as she sings.
Like a bird love shouldn’t be caged,
Nor should it be treated with rage,
Love is something that must be free,
Allowed to grow for everyone to see.
Love is like an exquisite bird
With it’s power let it be heard,
From the very mountain tops,
Right down to where the sea bed drops.
This love is to be nurtured,
A gift not to be hurt or tortured,
Watch it flourish every day,
Listen to what she has to say.
If it’s meant to be it will come back,
Don’t confine it, cut it some slack,
Love is not love if it is trapped,
Let it unfurl & watch it unwrap.

"Love is not love if it is trapped, Let it unfurl & watch it unwrap." These are excellent lines. Very true also. If smothered, love will die from the loss of freedom and trust. You can't make someone love you. It has to be their choice. Great write here.

I really like this one, pixie.
I haven't read a poem like this before, and it's original and uplifting. I would have changed the ending line, however, to;
'Love's not love, should it be trapped
For your heart will be broken, snapped'
Just a suggestion.
