Your words are like a knife
Slitting my throat
Cutting into my stomach
Bleeding into my hands
Down to the carpet
Do my eyes lie to me
And block reality
Your words
So unpredictable
So out of the blue
Like your eyes
I lean back
Look at the ceiling
Pull out my hair
Watch the fan spin
Like your words
To my heart
When did things
Turn for the worst
What did I do
To cause this curse
On myself
And to us
I will cry later
And feel pain tomorrow
I will read your words again
And re-live the sorrow
