An Unexpected Meeting

One day I’ll be the girl,
The one whom you haven’t seen in years.
Someday you’ll casually walk into the café bookstore,
And you’ll notice me sitting alone in the corner,
With my cappuccino, half full,
I’ll be sitting near a window.
And a book about romance,
Will be placed in my hands.
From a distance,
You’ll perceive the way I smell,
And take notice at what I’m wearing.
A knee-length flowing skirt,
And a paisley-pink short sleeved shirt.
With my hair all up in short light brown curls.
Out of the blue,
You’ll become aware of a tear that’s rolling down my cheek.
That’s when you know its time to make your move.
So you’ll nonchalantly walk up towards me,
And question why I’m crying.
I’ll lift my head up, and look directly at your face.
With the gleam in my eye, that I know you.
I’ll ask if you recognize me at all,
Tell you that I’m from your past.
Then I’d apologize for my weeping,
Because you never thought that I would.
I’ll say that there’s only one thing I ask,
Please, if you could,
Just run away now, before we go too far.
One day I’ll be that girl,
The one whom you haven’t seen in years,
The girl you never thought you’d have to deal with again.

| Intersting.. i like it.. sometiems i actaully want to be that girl and look foward to the dya of the unexpected meeting, other times i dread being that girl .. i guess it depends on your specific situation and interpretation. |
