Lonely Wanderer

Contributed by blueheart on Sunday, 4th July 2004 @ 10:42:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Soundless slideshows in my mind,
Memories etched within my heart,
Barely crying but filled with fear,
Lonely wanderer soon departs.

Million miles away from home,
Anxious thoughts of the new place,
Friends, they travel on different tracks,
Comfort abandons me in this phase.

Foreign perception remains unsculpted,
Moving forward with an open mind,
Reality grows with each new day,
One step forward, my home's left behind.

I remember just how nervous I was to leave home for college. I cannot even begin to imagine leaving my country. I hope you will be able to maintain contact with us and keep us apprised of your life. I wish you the very best and I send hugs to you.

Rita

I have always enjoyed getting the chance to read your poetry. You just write so well every time.

I hope the road ahead will be the greatest time of your life. I was homesick when I left home but the journey was worth it. I pray the same will go for you.

You will do great and excel, I have no doubt.

Can't wait to read your next one..

Such a horrible empty hollow helpless feeling is known as "Homesickness!" Drs., will tell you it is high on the stress list!
What a marvelous way you have with words. And your timing is outstanding too!
Lovely, lovely poem......I can feel the creases in your heart blue heart..deep feelings that once I felt.....But hand in there this too will past.
Love
