Me, myself, and I

You think you know me
but you know me not.
You think you can see through me
when you can't see past your mind.
I am a maze
yet you think I am so simple.
But all you can see is a mask.
A parody of what you want.
You'll never feel
you'll never see
you'll never touch
the real me.
I am dead inside.
Yet I’m burning alive.
I am nothing.
I am everything.
I am your sweetest dream
and your worst nightmare.
You love me
and you hate me.
I am yourself.
Love, hate.
Respect, disrespect.
Light and darkness.
I am all that I feel all that.
I embrace myself.
Look at the mirror.
What's that I see?
I see the angel I used to be.
