In A Rhymers Mind

Contributed by pixie on Sunday, 4th July 2004 @ 11:24:14 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

There are many sonnets to find,
Locked inside a poets mind,
Day after day they sit & think,
Their buzzing minds full of ink.

Looking for daily inspiration,
Writing it down there’s no hesitation,
Then they sit & take in their work,
Whether it be of joy or of hurt.

Words make a poet’s heart beat,
Creating a song makes them complete,
There’s nothing like a finished piece,
In a writers mind wonders never cease.

From a birth or the cutting of a blade,
Another compelling ode can be made,
Anything for a poet will do,
They make the words heartfelt & true.

The mind is a very powerful thing,
Opens up & spreads it’s wings,
Sharing all that it beholds,
Poignant verses begin to unfold.

Lyrics, ode’s, rhymes, & songs,
Dance around a writers mind all day long,
Just waiting to be discovered,
The secrets of a poet are never uncovered.

This is really a neat one. Thanks for posting.
You've ventured into a poet's mind quite well, I'd say.
Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

I can only imagine what it must be like to step inside and tour a rhymers mind. Amazing to think about and your poem was excellent to read.

I wonder if letters find words and words find verses and paint is only thoughts triggered to feel onto paper?

I found your poem to be wonderful and intriguing. Very very well done on this one. :)
