I'm not a tool
None shall use me
None shall abuse me
Not your weapon for revenege
Nor your ride to easy street
I will not worship you
Serve you
I know it sounds absurd to you
No longer your tool, your crutch
No longer the foundation of your empire
Suffer alone, I'm not your tool
I am ME

Well...your poem has one of the prime requisites of what I consider to be elemental in a good poem. It's short and concise.
The line breaks are all over the place though, and you have one typo in the 4th line. That's why the webmaster put a preview button there; so you could give it one last check over and eliminate errors. *g*
The word "tool" can have a number of connotations, and of course, the bawdiest always comes to my mind when I'm reading poetry. I guess I'm just bent that way.*g*
I'm not your creature would be more in context, I think.
All in all, it was a good read and worth the time to check it out.

It honestly made me want more! I felt there should be more. I hope there will be more. Keep going with this one... if that feeling ever comes back to you. |

Very well done, Altho I couldn't follow the meaning till I was told why you wrote it. I understand who your talking about, And many times I fell the same way. Just look at it this way. Family never turns its back on Family but friends are much more important. Imparshal reasoning is often the oil that thickens the blood. Great Write.
