Not Just Yet

Contributed by frohemiasweetie on Saturday, 3rd July 2004 @ 06:03:01 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

Gently like the last of many
And suddenly it wasn’t enough
Just as you were about to quit
You lit it still and sat still
And everything around was silent
And inside was still and quiet
And mellowed but hallowed
As if thieves were in the temple
And they ***** in the cathedral
And mauled the mosque with disrespectful
Injection and in seconds
You weren’t so affected so much
anymore
It put scabs on your sores
Clothes on your whores
Locks on you doors of woeful remembrance
The privilege of oblivion was unbeknownst
In tenth grade
Standing like a shadow on the back side of the world
Waiting for your turn in the sunshine
That may surely burn you in indulgence
So you turn to it when they spit you out
Of the happenings
And love interests
And conversations
And job applications
Asking for experience you didn’t have
As if mother pushed vocabulary on you
Instead of Jordan rewards for not
Getting some fast little ***** pregnant
Remembrance is a slum tenement
And the slimy super is you
So oblivion beckons
And you nod
And the violins stop
And the bow of your head
Quartz measurements spin backward
As if you could forget
But the light in the white of the rock insists
That’s its all right
You can free fall tonight
And land in the morning’s
Honest light
In your own vomit and
Woeful comments
As remembrance puts its key in the back door
And says honey I’m home
And I want you to hold me just one time
And you ran to the basement
To hide in the smoke 040104

i know this feeling. it is tough, to keep coming back to addiction, it can be damn tough this i know, im currently addicted to something id rather not mention, however you must just found it in yourself to go through life knowing you will be ok. regardless of an addiction or not, we are all addicted to something (gambling, smoking, exercise, working, yes even drugs and alcohol) we are human, we are mistakes, we make mistakes, we must correct these mistakes together. help one another, feel for one another. i feel for you, you must feel for you too.
