Puff My Adopted Dragon

Contributed by pixie on Saturday, 3rd July 2004 @ 11:17:28 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I love my cuddly dragon called Puff,
He helps by cuddling me & stuff,
He is green & purple with silver nails,
When he’s happy he swishes his tail.

Mark adopted him for me,
Give him his wings & set him free,
He has a loving home here,
He’ll never have to experience fear.

He sits & snuggles in my lap,
His soft wings gently flap,
As he dreams of one day flying,
He can’t just yet & sits there sighing.

He is nearly one year old,
His personality is strong & bold,
He loves to have his belly scratched,
He’s been this way since he hatched.

Mark gets in bed & throws Puff out,
As he’s dismissed I hear him shout,
He’s protests that he’s scared of the dark,
Then he sticks his tongue out at Mark.
