I did nothing

When the Police and Army killed them in Soweto,
What did I do?
The same as when the brits did Belfast and Derry and the Portadown to,
I did nothing, just watched it on the news,
someone else's war, they're Micks, just like the Jews,
they didn't belong in the country they own
since it was unlawfully taken by troops of the crown,
they couldn't run to the courts or the law,
their rights mattered no more.
as long is it on the news and TV,
not on my block, it doesn't concern me.

That is a truly apathetic attitude and extremely sad. That is a big problem today. No one cares or wants to get involved in the worlds problems.

That is why I wrote it, we are numbed by the violence on the news and so we do nothing....except buy guns to protect ourselves from.....????????????
I used to have a large collection of weapons but have got rid of them, the news promotes violence and numbs us to the truth. look at the murders in Derry in 1971 by the paras, 14 people killed and that only led to people joining the vioence, but we did nothing to stop the rot.
