We all experience this. I like to be selfish sometimes. Although, Im not natured that way, just I like to indulge in things at times, when Im already at the bottom, and when I get up for a bit, and I get a little more finances, I live for that moment and sometimes, not all the time, I will indulge in something for myself. I can always say there is tomorrow,another day, but then again, what if there isn't??? So, not so bad in thinking this way, we all need to wake up and see things as not seen before. AS like a teenager, a friend of mine's son, got everything he wanted, and now is very spoiled, attitude problems, and can do no wrong type thing. My friend knows he made a mistake, and is paying dearly for it. Not easy taking away now, when they are older. Cuteness and pretty get you no where in life, excpet unhappiness in the end... so, this teen will get a rude awakening soon in his 17yrs. as he turns 18, it will be not that he is an adult according to law, but he will find out what that is all about, without help and will do it all on his own, for now on. Tough world out there, hope he has what it takes to make it. AFter being supplied for in every detail and aspect of his life. He will actually have to get a job, earn his keep. I wonder how far he will go on his attitude and rude, obnox. behavior... yeah, not very far. And dad is also learning a very valuable lesson... prays his son is strong enough in mind and spirit and will learn lifes' lessons the hard way. not easy doing things this way, but it has to be done now... This write you have here will awake many, if they understand how to apply it.

And if not, then well, at least I like to think it's teaching me something of myself!
You're right, it can be very easy to over do it! There seems to be a very fine line, the trick is finding that line and walking it steadily. Things can all go wrong too quickly if one doesn't get it right!
Read's to me like you're doing just fine with your footing. Hopefully my upbringing has supplied me with the right shoes too:-)

Dean, we all can be selfish some times, even me! Although I try not to be selfish, I can be at times. But there are times that some of us deserve to be selfish as well.
