A young mans anguished cry,
echoes back down the years
to the sacred safety of a mothers womb,
to the inborn knowledge of a mothers love.
An old mans fading thoughts,
rekindle in a lonely spark
to a time when dreams were fresh,
and hearts and souls were young.
A mothers quiet certainty,
stirs within her pregnant being
the dreams she has for an unborn son,
will guide him straight and strong
to be the man she knows he will become.
The ancient sage sits and ponders,
but cant think where the answer is
to a question where you just cant win,
where do beginnings end
and where do ends begin?

Don't know why but this gave me pause. Thank you for the poem. Beginnings and endings sometimes seem less distinct with the improtant things. Everything seems so connected.
Once again thank you....bob |
