My heart began to whimper & cry,
As it sadly asked me why?
Why you had to go & leave,
My heart now starts to grieve.
I know that you’re returning,
But my loneliness is reoccurring
Every time you leave my side,
Strength from within I have to find.
I know that I am being daft,
But I see you as my life raft,
My heart & I lean on you,
As we know you can see us through.
Me & my heart are yours for keeps,
We run to you in bounds & leaps,
By your side we like to be,
Loving you & feeling free.
I feel my love growing,
Like a river I can feel it flowing,
Into my veins & around my blood,
Me & my heart are feeling good.
