didactic
|
the empty page
is white noise
and tempting
a siren s song
on a barren shore
and treacherous
the words placed there
have metal jackets
and no conscience
but they re also soft
as cat s fur
and shed
they re never certain
of beginning
and end
they write
themselves
and move on
their passing
an impression
on the sand
possibly recalled
recited
and another day heard
