Suicide of an angel.

Contributed by deathdrop on Thursday, 1st July 2004 @ 04:01:38 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Silver tears drops dripped down her clothes.
As she listened back on viscous words that they spoke.
And then everything slowly slid out of reach.
Until in her head she believed she was a freak.

And so the truth got trapped inside the lies.
The fact was she was beautiful,
an angel in disguise.
But that isn’t what they said!
Even though they made her cry.
But still they never stopped;
they ripped her wings so she couldn’t fly.

They stole away her self-esteem,
Then entered their way, into her dreams.
They filled her up with laughing screams.
And closed the light from her golden sun beams.

They worked at her to make her feel small.
They said she was ugly and hated by all.
They pushed her over and made her fall.
They never stopped there; they had to be more cruel!

And now here comes more solid fact.
That this girl they turned black.
They started the beatings with one little attack.
Then they beat her up and bruised with each smack.

Until the day she finally had enough,
She believed there was some thing wrong with her,
so she just gave up.
She couldn’t see the point,
as her life was so tough.
She thought it was her fault,
that she was hated so much.

So one day when she got home,
she went straight upstairs,
Her mum and dad were out,
in their own affaires.
She went into her bedroom,
and let down her hair.
Then she thought for a minute,
and sat down in her chair.

But she soon got up,
and walked over to her bed side drawer.
She took out a bottle of pills,
the instructions she ignored.
She didn’t want to be this FREAK, any more.
This was her only way out,
to open up the doors.

At first she felt nothing,
so she looked at her scars,
But then she felt kind of dizzy,
and it hit her hard!
She fell to the floor,
bruising more marks.
But all she could hear,
was the words “retard”.
She lay shaking all alone,
her thoughts moving fast.
Then piece by piece her vision went dark…

how cruel people can actually be.. i thought the world was so much better than this.. but everywhere you see this happening.. respect not only yourself but others.. when the respect goes away then all respect is lost.. i have known and heard so many of these stories and it just tears me up inside to know that this can actually happen making one feel so unwanted.. stupid and un-careing remarks should never be made.. making one feel as if she/he does.. but all that you can do is if you see this happen just simply go up to the person and ask them if they are ok.. so simple words could change them forever... thank god there are few nice people in this world...

Great write.. expressed it very well

Very good. If everyone could put themselves into someone elses shoes like this, then there would be no more teenage suicide or "Colombines" People don't realize how much of an effect their words have on others, this hit very close to home....for a lot of people I'm sure

Very moving, and the sad part is that it's also true with alot of girls. Highschool especially can cause a girl to "crack". very good write.

that was good. you did a good job on it. it's horrible to think how many people go through pain like that.

This is the kind of poetry I love to read.Though its heart wrenchingly sad,it is REAL!!

There is beauty in this sadness and it comes from the selflessness of your soul. How caring you are to place yourself in anothers hardship. You took the time to write this and Im glad I took the time to read it :)

BRAVO!!!
