One step away from it all

Into the abyss I have gone,
but where might that be?
What will I do?
Perhaps search myself,
only to find that I know not who I am,
but rather I am he who I don't know.
Maybe someday I will find my true self,
if such a being exists.
But until that day comes,
you will have to wait
and put up with
the inferior being that is...
me.
