i wonder does he wonder
why i do the things i do

as he watches me from the heavens
all this unending love i send
does he laugh at me?
when i do something less than bright?
is that him, making ripples in the starlight?
what is it now amuses him?
maybe me getting older
whilst he is forever young
this is some of my life's tale
about why i wept and wailed
denial is a cruel thing
that death brings
i want to turn back time
to when he was mine
when i was loved and lived the fairytale
and it was oh, so real

knowing me as he does and what im after
does he burst into hysterical laughter?
does he smile up there, and say;
her well laid plans went awry, hehe
humpf, i bet he does
my only advice to you
is always be true
say what you mean
and mean what you say
do not wait to do it
some other day
my love and i were lucky
we were not shy to say
that in each other's eyes
the flowers bloomed each day

winters were magic
and time together sweet
we had a song in our souls
and kept in tune with our beat
each heart carried a thud
when the last breath was taken
for now we are lost to one another
our love forsaken
new jersey took him away
on that rainy foggy night
my life, too, was done
when he died by
milepost 91

Oh nessa,
this is beautifull but sad. U r lucky to have had such luv if only for a moment.
I'm sure he sees and hears everything.
He's your own personal angel and his luv for u will never die as yours for him want.
U r such a beautifull, wonderful soul and no one can deny that.
We don't understand why these things happen but real luv never, eveer dies.
God bless u my dear friend.
luv, huggs,
emy

You have created ripples not only in starlight but also in the lake of sorrow..and turned the time flow back to that rainy foggy night when the tragic incident occured..its a timeless
cry of your heart's grief and a precious work..
hugs with a heavy heart dear lady.. sincerely.

This was so heart rendingly beautiful. My heart goes out to you. You have your sweet memories to keep you until you are together again. And I'm sure he's not laughing at you, instead he's watching out for you, and sending love from above. Peace, and hugs to you.

such a sad write, but this is what makes you the poet you are. Your ability to produce work of this level straight from the heart, well done.

you are stronger than you know and you can be sure he is watching you - perhaps guiding you even though you do not know it. He knows the words of your heart and hears you -

Nessa,

What is there left to say. Everyone else has covered everything. You're a very lucky lady. Your friends here at YPDC love you very much + it is obvious. You were also truely loved by man + treated like a precious - precious lady. I envy you. I also hope to be counted among your friends. I also believe he is guiding + loving you. We all have our angels. I'm glad you have yours + yes he is smiling in a big way...

Love,

J~

This is very sad but it is well written. It has all the positive attributes that i have come to expect from reading your poems. This one has something else in ti too; the voice of a loved one speaking to comfort one still living.
