I'm sorry I can't be perfect
I just don't understand
How everyone except me
Can know just what I am
"You're smart"
"You're special"
Is all I hear with people near
Or "You can do better"
"You're not trying"
Whenever no one else is here
I guess I'm not what you think I am
I'm not ther best, nor brightest
I try my hardest
Though you may not notice
Because I try to appear as though I am
Exactly what you think I am

you try your hardest and that is all that matters. nobody is perfect, nobody is the best, however, if you strive to be the best YOU can be, then you have done all you can..
